SEOEA recently hosted a dynamic morning of professional development with our Presidents’ and Treasurers’ Workshops!

Led by OEA staff, Taraja Shephard Allen and Matt Conrad, the Presidents’ Workshop gave local presidents and vice presidents an in-depth look at the many roles they play in supporting their members and strengthening their locals. From governance best practices to election procedures, leaders left empowered and equipped with the latest edition of the OEA Local President’s Handbook. 

Meanwhile, local treasurers joined OEA Secretary-Treasurer Rob McFee for vital training sessions tailored to both novice and experienced treasurers. From compliance with legal requirements to practical budgeting advice, attendees gained the tools they need to serve their locals with confidence and accuracy.
