Registration is now open for the SEOEA Presidents’ & Treasurers’ Workshop!
The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Ohio University Inn in Athens. Pre-registration is required.
Agenda
- Sign-in and breakfast begin at 8:15 a.m.
- Welcome from SEOEA at 8:50 a.m.
- Training sessions begin at 9:00 and conclude at noon. See session descriptions below for more information.
- Lunch will be served at noon. Registration is required for lunch.
Presidents’ Workshop – Led by OEA staff, this workshop will provide an in-depth look at the many roles and responsibilities of local presidents. The session will cover important topics such as the required procedures for conducting elections in your local. Each participant will receive an updated copy of the OEA Local President’s Handbook. Local vice presidents are also encouraged to attend. The workshop for presidents will be conducted as one session running from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Treasurers’ Workshop – Conducted by OEA Secretary-Treasurer Rob McFee, this workshop will provide vital information to help local treasurers fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with all current laws. The workshop will be divided into two sessions, one for novice treasurers and one for experienced treasurers. The Novice Treasurer session will be held from 9:00 to 10:45, and the Experienced Treasurer session will immediately follow from 10:45 to noon. Treasurers may attend one or both sessions.
All workshop sessions and meals are FREE for SEOEA/OEA members.
